I remember back in 2016 listening to Mark Levin on the radio, talking about how Trump was accusing the Obama administration of spying on him during his campaign. He was using reports and articles from such left wing publications like the Washington Post and The New York Times among others, to substantiate his claims that Trump was indeed the subject of covert surveillance by America’s intelligence agencies, the Crossfire Hurricane story. Levin’s story never gained any traction from the main stream media, who could have predicted that, right? Apart from the obvious problem with the mainstream news media ignoring the fact that Trump was correct in in accusations against the Obama administration, the thing that really bothered me, was the issue of the surveillance itself. To me it the scariest part of the Crossfire Hurricane story was that the political party in power was spying on the opposition, (exactly what Nixon did and was forced out of office for, and rightly so, I might add), but now Obama was using agencies of the federal government to do the spying. To me that indicated a dramatic and scary shift in our political landscape. I thought, naively, that at least some people on the left would see the problem with this, however the silence from the so-called “civil libertarians” was deafening. The only voice I heard expressing any concern was Alan Dershowitz. One obvious conclusion about the lack of any outrage was what conservatives have dubbed the “Trump Derangement Syndrome”, (TDS). It’s TDS that stopped the Hunter Biden laptop story. Its TDS that stopped the initial investigation into the Wuhan lab, it was TDS, that stopped the conversation about alternative treatments for Covid. It wasn’t just TDS, though, it is also an acceptance of censorship that the progressives, these same people, who in the 60’s demonstrated for free speech in Berkeley, and marched in protest against the Vietnam war, crying out for people not to trust the government, were now ok with their political party using federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies to spy on someone who at the time was a private American citizen.
The progressives are now saying that anything that differs from their version of “accepted science” is “misinformation” and as such should be censored, even though the differing opinions were coming from respected members of the scientific community. I had to shake my head in disbelief when Dr. Robert Malone, the man responsible for the invention of the mRNA vaccine was being censored from YouTube! The media censorship of 2 of the non-vaccine treatments, hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin, (by the way a large, recent peer reviewed study shows that Ivermectin is very effective in both prophylactic and therapeutic treatment of Covid.), was surreal, even though there were groups of physicians and nurses who were advocating for their effectiveness. If these treatments worked, then why the censorship? These doctors and nurse’s free speech rights were being censored! Once again, where are the civil libertarians, where is the A.C.L.U.? Isn’t their name the American Civil Liberties Union? Aren’t they supposed to stand up for free speech? Now I have never been a fan of the A.C.L.U. but, every once in a while, they actually take on some conservative causes, so I hoped that since these were issues that transcended partisan politics, they might actually step up and say something about it, but no, I heard nothing from them. TDS obviously isn’t the only reason for all the spying and censorship, the runaway bureaucracies and our intelligence agencies, the so called “deep state”, that will fight to the death anything that endangers their political power, is a major factor in all of this as well. Remember when Bernie Sanders let it slip out in one interview that he thought Trump had made a big mistake when he took on the intelligence community at the beginning of his administration? There is virtually no oversite of these bureaucracies and agencies, so they run amuck, unafraid of anything Congress could do to them. James Clapper and John Brennan lied to congress! What punishments did they receive? They both got jobs at CNN, and while some may think that is a just punishment, think of the consequences if an average citizen lied before Congress, they would be locked up like a January 6th “insurrectionist”. When Tucker Carlson said on his show that his emails had been intercepted by the National Security Agency (NSA), the only thing we heard from the mainstream media and progressive pundits, was that he either deserved it, or he was making it up. Now you can argue that because he was trying to secure an interview with Vladimir Putin, the NSA was within their rights to intercept his emails, but the fact that his name was unmasked, and then fed to another journalist is a CRIME! Once again, not a peep from the so called civil libertarians.
The next few civil liberty issues come from the Biden administration’s latest directives to make sure everyone gets “the jab”, and to suppress any anti government speech, by labeling them as “extremists”. His plan to send out people door to door to “encourage” them to get vaccinated or see if they have been vaccinated, has to be illegal, you can’t force someone to reveal their medical history, but yet the Health and Human Services Director, Xavier Beccera said the Federal government has the absolute right to do so because of the millions of dollars spent to fight the Wu-flu. You know that the actual object of this is to accumulate a list of people who aren’t willing to get the vaccine. Which begs the question, since the previously mentioned study that shows Ivermectin is extremely effective in fighting the Wu-flu, why is our federal government trying to shove experimental vaccines down our throats? What happened to “my body, my choice”? The next two, I feel are even more Orwellian. The first one, according to Politico, who like the Washington Post and New York Times can only be sarcastically, called conservative, is that the Biden administration wants to look at your emails and texts to purportedly stop the spread of “misinformation” about the Wu-flu, and see if you are, or might be becoming an “extremist”. Number 2, is the FBI encouraging people to rat out their neighbors if they think they might be, or are becoming extremists. WTF! Who determines what is misinformation and what is their definition of misinformation? Something that they don’t agree with, even though it’s true, as in the case of Dr. Malone? What is their definition of an extremist? Someone who voted for Trump? Can you say fascism, or communist totalitarianism like China? I knew you could. I can’t believe that anyone, well anyone who is not a Nazi or communist, would think this is ok. Once again, although it’s only been a couple of days since this story broke, there has been no outrage from the mainstream media, or from civil libertarians. Like the Tucker Carlson story, they seem to think that the people being spied on or censored, must have done something to deserve it, so these measures are fine with them. Our country was founded on the principle that the people have the power, that government works for the people, not the other way around. Civil liberties are the cornerstone of our form of government, freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, the right to a free a fair election and the freedom from government intrusion into our daily lives by using illegal searches and seizures, such as obtaining your texts, emails or medical history. These civil liberties are under attack by “Josef” Biden, or whoever is running the show. The latest attack on our liberty is their insistence that states enacting voter I.D. measures are fomenting a civil war by re-instituting the infamous Jim Crow era. Biden actually said that the voter integrity laws being enacted by various states where the worst thing to happen in America since the Civil War! I thought that he said a few weeks ago that white supremacy and extremism were the biggest threats, now I understand that he is in cognitive decline, but his remarks, which he said were not hyperbole, were, to put it mildly, totally irresponsible. Despite overwhelming public opinion in support of voter I.D. and the electorates desire for our elections to be free from fraud, they resist any law that would stop it. As an aside, I can’t believe the arrogance of their arguments against voter ID’s, do they actually believe that it’s impossible for someone to get an ID, when you need one to do anything from driving a car to checking out a library book? Do they think that, African Americans mostly, or now it’s “rural” Americans according to Kamala Harris, are too stupid to figure out how to get an Id? It’s insanely condescending and insulting. In reality, what it really smells like is that the progressives want to take away American citizen’s right to elect their own representatives. Handing it over to ineligible voters, like dead people and convicts, or illegals and other nefarious scumbags, such as the ones in Georgia who were caught on video pulling suitcases of ballots from under tables, during the fake “flooding” that enabled them to evacuate the building. Jovan Pulitzer, who has been at the forefront of the voter fraud investigations, posted a video where he shows 2 identical Georgia ballots with different batch numbers on them, proving they had been scanned and counted multiple times! Once again, where is the outrage? These stories have been proven to be factual! There is unadulterated video of it! My hope is that the people, especially the ones on the left side of the aisle, those who haven’t yet been totally indoctrinated, (I actually know quite a few of them, they used to call themselves civil libertarians), will see this power grab for what it truly is, an attempt to fundamentally change our country to a totalitarian, socialist dictatorship. As a country, we have strayed a long way from the government our founders envisioned. Our founders couldn’t imagine someone wanting to stay in government service for more than a few years, the pay was low, and the abuse from the public was high. Unscrupulous politicians however, found out that you could make a ton of money and have power over people by taking bribes and selling political influence. If there is any one major fault in the founders plan, it would be that they failed to take into account that power corrupts, and absolute power, corrupts absolutely. That the prospect of obtaining political power would entice people whose motives were, shall we say, less than altruistic. By not limiting their terms in office to a fixed number of years, it has allowed these parasites on both sides of the political aisle to gain control of our republic. They must be stopped! If our civil liberties are taken away from us, as is happening now, today, there is no hope other than a revolution. That is the LAST thing I want to see, Americans fighting Americans. The majority of American citizens have to somehow wake up and make a stand against this march towards socialism and tyranny, and demand the removal and incarceration of these political parasites, both on the left and the right. We need to protest peacefully, make our voices heard, demand term limits and stand up for our GUARENTEED CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS. If we can do this, then maybe we have a chance to save ourselves, and save our country. If not, I urge you to read 1984, because that’s the place we are heading towards, and you might as well familiarize yourself with that reality.
